As creator of Second Chance Stroke Survivors Worldwide, I see all to often young stroke survivors with young children!
BREAKS MY HEART (TO THE POINT OF TEARS SOMETIMES!)
To you I say stay strong for your young ones! Teach them by who you are!
You're a survivor not a victim of stroke!
Because in their circle of life on planet earth, they also will face hard times!
You want them to be survivors like they watched you be right?
Oh ya, you're showing them by example now!
You guys hold a special place in my prayers!

My dream is to build Second Chance Stroke Survivors into a multi million dollar nonprofit and give money to stroke survivors in need around the world!
Dream #2)
A lot of stroke survivors have hostile un loving families. So I want to buy houses around the world. Convert them to residential care facilities for only stroke survivors! Staff will specialize in caring for stroke survivors! Sliding scale. If a stroke can't afford it? It will be free!

It's an inward problem that manifests itself outwardly!
We are so angry and frustrated at how messed up we are it causes us to explode with anger!

Hi, my name is Aaron Avila and I am in desperate need of human kindness!
Please understand that my life situation (stroke) forces me to do whatever it takes to ask you to help me.
Never in my circle of life, did I ever foresee my future here in this place! I have no other choice.

You see on September 17th 2010, age 47, as fast as lightning strikes, I became a stroke survivor! I survived certain death (my near death experience) from an aneurysm exploding in my brain and 2 weeks later I survived a major stroke!
I can’t walk, Can’t talk very well among countless other things! But I’m very grateful to still be alive and still be with the people I hold dear to my heart on planet earth, my family!
Our family income went from 6 figures now down to under 19k a year in a blink of an eye!
About 5 years ago I had anonymous person donate over $12,000 dollars to me so I could get much needed dentures. My stroke took my fine motor skills needed to floss and tooth decay and failure is common place. A local dentist insisted on extracting all my teeth in front and installing bridges. Even some his own staff quietly said this was not a long term solution.
The dentist convinced this stroke survivor to go with the bridges! Against my wife’s better judgment I agreed! Dumb!
Of course after expressing our concerns and explaining how stroke took my fine motor skills and proper maintenance impossible, my front teeth were extracted and bridges installed.
The only opposing teeth I have left to chew with now is the Bridges!
My gut is telling me that they are going to fail after 5 years of not being properly being taken care of!
Than what?
I’m so scared!
(Update 11-1-15) 3 teeth have fractured, one crown, now just small point with post, one down to gum line extremely sharp lacerating tongue, one close to gum line very sharp and jagged, several cavities.
Please help me!

If you find in your heart to help me, please contact my wife Rebecca at 707-326-6588. I have Dysarthria and can't speak on a phone. I'm also wheelchair bound so handicap access is a must. She doesn't know I'm doing this so you'll need to explain. I don't mean to ask to much but I feel I have no choice. My wife Rebecca has not seen a dentist for years. Please also consider giving her a cleaning and checkup?

TO MY 3 TRIBAL ELDERS
Peter, Mark and Bob, (I truly see each of you as my Tribal Elders in this, my circle of life on planet earth).
While on the floor stretching and meditating I got a strong pull to write you this letter you're now reading.
First let me clear the air!
Let's face it! I was a total dick head asshole my first chance!
But a near death experience along with a stroke that has left me 1/2 paralyzed, unable to talk well and wheelchair bound has a way of waking your ass up!
I now see life totally different! I now have a to my core gratefulness for my life!
I see life and people with a spiritual clarity that's breathtaking!
Who I was as a man, before surviving a massive brain aneurysm and stroke September 17th 2010 has radically changed who I am today!
I now see all 3 of you as you are to me! My spiritual brothers!
Guys, (especially Bob) please forgive me for all I did to you! I got in way way over my head business wise! This left me weak and vulnerable to predators! Bob, please forgive me? I truly feel remorse!
I will tell you that I have changed so radically, I created a global movement to help stroke survivors called Second Chance Stroke Survivors Worldwide. We have 45+ Chapters and Division Groups in over 18 countries around the globe!
I write a Blog that has over 41,000 pageviews in 9 countries.
I'm currently writing a book.
My Pinterest is climbing daily! Average monthly views is at 18,000!
My brothers I can't walk, I can't talk very well, I'm 1/2 paralyzed and we have survived the past 5 years on less than $19,000 a year!
But I tell you the truth! I am the most inwardly fulfilled person than I've ever been!
How? Why?
I help stroke survivors around the world!
I can't describe the human energy produced when someone says to you ........... You saved my life! I've had numerous people tell me that!
I have found, through stroke, that life on this planet is 100% about helping other human beings in this world!
Than and only than can one find true satisfying fulfillment in this life!
Sorry brothers! Very passionate!
So, Mark, I hear you're the Grand Poobah of the tank world! lol Proud of you brother!
I would like to take this time to say thank you to each one of you for the influential role you all played in my life! With every fiber of who I am as a man THANK YOU!

WHY DO SOME STROKE SURVIVORS CHOOSE TO BE MISERABLE?
In my close involvement with stroke survivors around the world all stroke survivors come in just two types.
One stroke survivor is exceedingly grateful to be alive and one stroke survivor is not!
The one stroke survivor is plunged into deep darkness and the other quite often has a spiritual awakening because of their stroke!
I have had the honor of helping several stroke survivors out of the pit of despair only to emerge like a caterpillar metamorphoses into a beautiful butterfly! Hands down it is the single most powerful thing I've experienced in my life!
I have found the stroke survivor stuck in utter darkness is always longing to go back to the way they were before stroke. Not being able to, by their own longing they plunge themselves into a deep depression.
I have seen what appear to be unbreakable shackles of darkness broken when the stroke survivor accepts he or she cannot go back!
They are now a stroke survivors!
They accept this fact with all the deficits and they come to a realize that just being alive when they should be dead wells up such a deep gratefulness and light there is no place for the darkness to live!

So many times I hear I want my life back, Said it myself, made myself miserable. Now 6 yrs post stroke I see I will never get the old life back its impossible. The trials of this stroke and recovery has changed my life forever and for the good..
I am a survivor and the things I have learned about life will not allow me to return to the old..Sure some of the things I loved doing are gone but I have adapted to change not easy but no choice.
For the first few years of this I played that pity thing mad at the world, why me. One day got up ,tired of this got to be a better life after stroke. Put the wheelchair in corner picked up walker and started this hard work. Soon I was on cane doing the same thing ,it is not easy by no means but guess what not only was I walking but I felt proud thats why you hear me say "Stand Tall And Proud.. "Its not a secret hid from you its what you want out of life. Do not waste your time in this place its very lonely and nothing there to gain but misery. I am no writer ,not smarted than you ,it takes time to heal ,just got to get that brain thinking right and get up and get it done. Time is on your side you got plenty of it so don't think its got to all come at once work slow and steady it will come.. rt.
You see stroke survivors you have the ability to completely change how you see your stroke!
Start by being deeply grateful for just being alive! Promise as you start the spark of gratefulness a firestorm will soon ignite and you will once again appreciate your life on planet earth stroke survivors.
I know, I was one of those stroke survivors stuck in utter darkness!
